# MultiShortcuts Pro for Mac: Changelog ## v2.0.0 beta · 2026-10-28 First Mac release (beta: still being tested on real Macs; please report problems to support.team@gnukey.com), matching MultiShortcuts Pro v2.0.0 for Windows. *Taking shortcuts to a whole new level.* ### ⌘ and ⌥ on the home row "⌘ and ⌥, now on your home row. And ⌘ on your mouse, for easy editing." A Karabiner-Elements rule file (`multishortcutspro-karabiner.json`), one rule per key so each can be turned off: - **Hold `;`** = ⌘ Command. Tap types `;`. - **Hold `` ` ``** = ⌥ Option. Tap types `` ` ``. - **Caps Lock:** tap = `` ` `` (the launcher key), hold = ⌥ Option, Shift + Caps Lock = real Caps Lock. - **Middle mouse button:** like `;` (click = `;`, hold = ⌘), or the alternative rule like Caps Lock. Shift + middle click = normal middle click. - 200 ms hold threshold. A fast roll counts as typing. - Install from the website (one click) or the menu bar: **MSP → Set up hold keys…** ### ; commands Tap `;`, then a letter: `;c` copy, `;v` paste, `;x` cut, `;z` undo, `;y` redo, `;a` select all, `;A` select all + copy, `;e`/`;E` line end, `;l` line start, `;L` lock screen, `;8` emoji picker, `;s`/`;S` save / save as, and more. A user shortcut with the same trigger always wins. Can be switched off in the menu. ### Starter mode - New installs start with the built-in `;`, `` ` `` and `=` shortcuts only. - **Unlock Full Features** (free) turns on custom shortcuts, the editor and the ⌥ hotkeys, and adds sample shortcuts, including the `q`/`j` family (`qp`, `jg`, `jj`, `jt`, `jT`). ### Shortcuts - Text expansion, and app, web, document and folder launchers. - Date shortcuts: `-=`, `=-`, `1-=`, `2-=`, `3-=`, `1m=`, `2m=`, `1y=`, plus a `{when:…}` placeholder. - Placeholders: `{clip}`, `{cursor}`, `{prompt:…}`, `{user}`, `{comp}`, `{date:…}`. - Sequence macros: `{key:…}`, `{wait:…}`, `{focus:…}`. - Shared file format with Windows and SpeedKee: `trigger expansion`, `[NEWLINE]`, `; ` comments, `$$` for instant. ### Privacy and safety - No network calls, no telemetry, no account. - Long expansions are pasted with the clipboard entry marked concealed and transient, so clipboard managers and Universal Clipboard skip them; the previous clipboard is restored. - Launchers use an allowlist of file types; scripts and installers are blocked; targets are re-checked every time; Terminal and similar tools, and apps outside the Applications folders, ask first. - Undo (⌥Z) only works right after an expansion. ### Locked-down Macs - `locked-mac.html`: built-in macOS alternatives for work Macs without admin rights, a converter from the shortcut file to Text Replacements, and a note to send IT.
