Taking shortcuts to a whole new level.

The keyboard shortcut tool for Mac. Expand text, launch apps and websites, open documents, insert dates and run everyday commands, all from short triggers you'll remember.

Works in most Mac apps, browsers and chat windows. No subscription, no account. It runs on Hammerspoon (free), and the script is plain Lua text: open it in any editor and read every line.

;c→Copy, without leaving the home row
jsE→john.smith@gmail.com
1-=→The date one week from today
`a→Opens Claude
qp→What's your phone number?
A short trigger. Instant result. Every time.
What it does

Who knew shortcuts could do all this?

Run commands.
Tap ; then a letter: ;s save, ;c copy, ;v paste, ;e line end, ;8 emoji, ;A select all and copy. No reaching for ⌘.
Expand text.
Type a short trigger and get your email address, a common reply, a template or an AI prompt, anywhere you type.
Open apps, sites and files.
Give any app, website, document or folder a trigger. Tap Caps Lock, then a letter, and it opens. No mouse, no Spotlight.
Insert dates.
Type -= for today, 1-= for a week from now, 1m= for a month from now. Always spelled out the same way.

Short triggers for the things you do all day.

Built to be trusted

Your keyboard. Your data. Your control.

MultiShortcuts Pro is a free Hammerspoon script. Open it in any text editor: every line is readable. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is sent anywhere.

✓Your shortcuts live in plain text files on your own Mac.
✓No network calls. No telemetry. No account required.
✓Long expansions are pasted privately, so they stay out of clipboard history and Universal Clipboard.
✓Launchers only open apps, documents, media, folders and web links. Scripts and installers are blocked, and Terminal asks first.
✓Provided free under the MIT License by GnuKey LLC. You are responsible for the shortcuts you create.
ℹHammerspoon needs Accessibility permission to send keystrokes, and Karabiner-Elements needs Input Monitoring for the hold keys. macOS asks the first time. Some managed Macs restrict this; follow your organization's rules.
Privacy first

No account. No cloud. No surprises.

MultiShortcuts Pro stays on your Mac. What you type stays yours.

On your device

Shortcuts are stored locally in plain text files you can read and edit.

No network calls

The script never connects to the internet. Zero telemetry.

Clipboard stays clean

Pasted expansions are marked private, so clipboard managers skip them. History keeps only shortcut names.

Open source

The script is plain Lua. Read every line. No hidden code.

One library, every device

Same shortcuts on Mac, Windows and Android.

MultiShortcuts Pro for Mac and for Windows, and SpeedKee for Android, all read the same shortcut file: one shortcut per line, trigger expansion.

Keep the file in iCloud Drive or Google Drive and your text shortcuts follow you. The phone ⇄ PC converter moves them between your phone and computer.
